Schnauzer - Small - Adult - Male - Dog - Lucky Lucky is a 4 year old, neutered, male, mini Schnauzer. I named him Lucky in hopes that it would bring him luck in love and life since so far he hasn't had much in his short life. Lucky's previous owners recently had a baby and just didn't have the time for him anymore. Right now, he lives with his foster mom and uncle in Forest Hills, Queens with another female foster friend. Lucky is a little shy around new friends, but with some encouragement, he's friendly and sweet. It seems that if he's especially insecure he growls a little to let you know. He growled at my boyfriend when they first met - just for a second. I reassured Lucky that he was a friend and Lucky has been fine around my boyfriend ever since. They even enjoyed a long walk together that same afternoon. Lucky is however very fond of my brother. I am confident, once he's settled in with a new loving home, his confidence will return. Lucky loves to go for walks and is a gentleman on the leash. He doesn't pull on the leash at all! He gets lots of compliments from neighbors on our walks - as you can see for yourself - he's a handsome little guy! Lucky is fully house broken. In the home, Lucky is calm and quiet. He's not much of a barker. He likes to find a comfortable spot in my apartment and settle in for a nap. He's good about telling his foster mom when he's needs to relieve himself. He'll look at me and then at the door a few times - that's he's signal for "I gotta pee". I've put down wee-wee pads for him but he really prefers to go outside. Today he took his first bath and seemed pleasantly surprised. I literally had to drag him to the tub though. Once he realized that the water was warm, he really enjoyed it! He was so happy when I was drying him off! He just wanted to cuddle with me out of gratitude! Lucky enjoys being clean very much! Lucky is slow to blossom so I learn something new about him everyday. So far, he's not particularly social with other dogs but he is curious about them. He hasn't showed too much interest in playing with toys. An ideal home would be with an owner who enjoys long walks or jogging. He's affectionate but not a lap dog. He's independent in that sense. He would be perfect for a guy looking for a small, calm, sweet, low maintenance dog! No name or logo on drum. May be Leedy? 6.6X14.1, slightly oversized. Aluminum shell with six free floating lugs. Rather than standard tension rods the drum uses screw type bolts. Steel hoops and lugs. The drum is made very well with a cream color finish. Posibly the oldest free floater? Maybe the 1940's. Sounds great. T/O works like new.
